Introduction
Inomatic is a specialist for electronics in special-purpose vehicles, automation technology and industrial applications. With their appliances all additional elements of, for example, a fire truck are centrally controlled. The company is situated in the city of Nordhorn in Germany, and partnered up with Pezy Group on the product Mangora. This control panel can be set up completely according to the customer’s wishes. With the Mangora touch display, it is possible to call up the navigation system, control the special signaling system of special vehicles or create a direct interface to the digital radio.
The panel can be installed in the interior of a vehicle or in vehicle areas where weather influences may play a role. For example, the pump room of a fire truck. With this development, Inomatic has multifunctional product with a high-quality appearance. . In this project Pezy Group developed the custom waterproof housing made out of plastic to hold the custom hardware and firmware that has been developed by ICT Group.
Collaboration with Pezy Group
Johannes Siebert, CEO of Inomatic, tells about the collaboration of his company with Pezy Group:
“We got in contact with Pezy Group through our partner ICT Group in the Netherlands. We did a major development together with them and we were looking for a plastic housing in parallel to this. ICT Group recommended us to contact the Pezy Group. Pezy made a competent first impression and seemed very engaged, so that’s why we involved the Pezy Group.
So far, we have unfortunately not had much experience with the production of our own housings. Thus, we were absolute non-experts in terms of the material, heat resistance, and the possibilities of subsequent manufacturing. Through the expertise of Pezy Group we were able to get valuable recommendations. Through these recommendations, we were able to investigate the manufacturing possibilities of the enclosures and inquire with suitable suppliers in Germany.
Pezy Group accelerated the development of the new plastic housing by responding very quickly to queries and we received an answer within a short time. Pezy Group also dealt directly with ICT Group, so that there was a direct data transfer between the companies. This has significantly accelerated the process and also reduced communication problems.
We have set clear milestones for when we need the first sample housings. Regular updates from Pezy Group let us know what the current state of affairs was. Thanks to the precise schedule, everyone involved was able to react early and fortunately, there were no delays. A major milestone was the completion of the first sample housings for a big trade fair. We were quite under pressure, but unfortunately, this fair was canceled due to the first Corona wave. This eased the situation a bit, anyway the housings arrived on time.
The cooperation with Pezy Group was on a very professional level, which is not often experienced. Our contact person Maarten Roos always kept us informed and, with the agreement of Dennis van der Zaan, provided us with all the necessary documents quickly and without complications. We really have to praise this professionalism”.
Because of the speed and high flexibility, I would recommend Pezy Group to other manufacturers. It must be said that the development was no small investment for us, but this is put into perspective in terms of the result. Anyway, we would come back to Pezy Group for major developments.”
